Debleena & Miki: San Francisco Engagement

I had the pleasure of photographing Debleena and Miki's engagement in San Francisco last weekend. Despite the chilly wind, we had a lot of fun - thanks, Debleena, for being such a trooper! I love how comfortable they are with each other - it made my job really easy.

We started at the Palace of Fine Arts.

Did I mention that they're super sweet together?

How cool are these giant green doors at the Palace of Fine Arts?

Back to back. Miki's only a *smidge* taller.

Debleena, you're adorable.

And Miki, you're not so bad yourself. I love when a guy can pull off pink!

And then we explored the Marina neighborhood a bit.

And then we hit the beach. The sun popped out right before sunset and gave us some great light. I planned it that way. Obviously.

Yup, sparks between these two. Literally.

I love how these two laugh together!

And then we went to the Bridge. A San Francisco engagement session isn't complete without some great Golden Gate photos!

How's this for some San Francisco glamour?

Not enough glamour for you? How about this?

Or this?
Near the end of the session, we were treated to this gorgeous sunset. If you look closely, you can see the Farallon Islands right below the setting sun!

Thank you, Miki and Debleena! Best wishes for a wonderful wedding this summer!

Kylie + Tim

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Kylie and Tim for their engagement! We had a great time exploring some of San Francisco's most beautiful spots on a warm summery afternoon. Congratulations you two, and I hope you have a wonderful wedding next summer in Pittsburgh!

Manisha & Rochan -- Presidio and Baker Beach, San Francisco

This past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting Manisha & Rochan's engagement portraits. Originally from the East Coast, they are planning to settle in San Francisco, and so we spent the session checking out some of SF's most beautiful locations, including the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, the Legion of Honor, and Baker Beach. Manisha and Rochan are gorgeous together! Despite an extremely windy day and many outtakes due to blowing hair and wardrobe, I think we got a lot of beautiful images...

Kristin & Doug's Engagement

I met up with Kristin & Doug on the steps of Trinity Church, which is where they met for their first date. We had a lot of fun walking around Boston on a beautiful summery afternoon. They have a great attitude and I got a lot of shots of them laughing at each other!

Kristin & Doug may have their reception dinner at Hampshire House, which is famous for being the facade of Cheers.

The Charles River Esplanade makes a beautiful green background.
They are thinking of using Boston's iconic gaslamps as a theme for their wedding, so we made sure to take some pictures with one:

It was easy to tell how in love these two are. They couldn't keep their lips off each other! ;)

Christy and Scott

My two roommates (and friends) recently became engaged, and I am the lucky photographer who got to shoot their engagement portraits! Not only are they adorable together, but they're wonderfully photogenic subjects, too. Scott is a talented director and Christy is talented at just about everything. I'm certain they have a bright and happy future together. Congratulations!

We shot these on a warm Saturday at El Matador Beach in Malibu. Some thin fog made for perfect, diffused light for these naturally-lit portraits.

Lots, lots more to see at http://www.pbase.com/dellybean/christy_scott

Perfume commercial, much?

I loved the wave action around the rocks and was waiting for this dramatic moment.

See, they're really just goofballs behind those model looks ;)

This is probably my favorite image from the session.

I just love sepia for engagement shots. It's timeless and warmer than black and white.
Are they cute or what?
